Weather on January 3: Severe cold wave effects can be seen in most parts of the country. The entire North India is covered in dense fog. The IMD has also predicted rain in many states. Additionally, the minimum temperature is expected to decrease further. According to the IMD, Punjab may experience dense to very dense fog for the next 2-3 days, while parts of Haryana may have it in the next 48 hours. There is also a possibility of very dense fog in certain areas of Uttarakhand and Rajasthan for two days.
IMD Says: There can be light to moderate rain, and in certain places, the rain can be heavy
IMD has mentioned that Lakshadweep could experience light to moderate rain, with heavy rain in some areas. Over the next 24 hours, there could be light rain in certain parts of Southern Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh. The rainfall intensity might increase in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Additionally, from January 4, there could be light to moderate rain in northern and northeastern Madhya Pradesh, as well as nearby areas of southern Uttar Pradesh.
